Dr. Heather Kaplan MD, MSCE is  Professor of Pediatrics in the Perinatal Institute and the James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). She works clinically as a neonatologist. She is the Co-Director of Quality Improvement for the Perinatal Institute and is responsible for quality improvement activities across a network of 12 hospitals. She also has experience leading regional and national multi-center quality improvement collaboratives. In addition to her QI work, Dr. Kaplan is a grant funded health services and outcomes researcher whose research program focuses on developing and testing new approaches to enhance care delivery, with a particular interest in strategies to better use data and knowledge to personalize care.
