Matthew Rysavy, MD, PhD

Dr. Matthew Rysavy is a neonatologist and Director of Learning Healthcare in the Division of Neonatology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He serves as co-chair of the international Tiny Baby Collaborative and as principal investigator for the NIH-funded All Birth Cohort (ABC) and Parent and Infant Registry (PAIR) Studies of births at 20-25 weeks' gestation. His research on care and outcomes of the most premature infants has informed international guidelines and serves as the basis for the NICHD Extremely Preterm Birth Outcome Tool. He lives in Houston, Texas with his wife, Mary, an obstetrician, and daughters.
