Associate Professor Louise Owen originally trained in the UK and has worked as a Neonatologist at the Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne since 2006.

Louise is a Principal Research Fellow and Dame Kate Campbell Fellow at the University of Melbourne, an Honorary Research Fellow at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, Melbourne and an Australian National Health and Medical Research Council Leadership Fellow.

Louise is a clinical triallist, having published multiple randomised trials focused on improving newborn resuscitation, and respiratory support for preterm infants. She has an additional interest in consent for newborn resuscitation research.
