I am a neonatologist and the PI of the Torpido 3060 study. My research interests are in clinical trials and large population databases, focusing on the areas of newborn resuscitation and perinatal substance use. I was appointed as Chair of Neonatology at the Mater Research Institute and University of Queensland in May 2025. I am also editor in chief of the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health, the official paediatric journal of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the deputy director of operations of the Ipokrates Foundation, Germany.
