J. J. Cutuli is a Senior Research Scientist in the Center for Healthcare Delivery Science at Nemours Children’s Health and director of the PROMISE Research Core focused on promoting community-engaged research to increase equity. His research involves the developmental processes of resilience for children, youth, and families who experience high levels of adversity, such as homelessness, maltreatment, and poverty. Working in partnership with communities, Dr. Cutuli focuses on protective factors that are common in the lives of individuals who do well, and the processes through which those factors result in positive adaptation. He received his doctorate from the University of Minnesota with dual training in child development and clinical psychology.
