Robert Lang, MD

Robert Scott Lang, MD is a Pediatric Anesthesiologist, the Medical Director of the Pain Service, and the Director of Liver and Kidney Transplant Anesthesia at Nemours Children’s Health, DE. He is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatrics at The Sidney Kimmel Medical School, Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Dr. Lang is proud to chair the Nemours Opioid Stewardship Committee and is the member of several other committees such as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Dr. Lang obtained his medical degree at the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia followed by a residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and fellowships in Pediatric Anesthesia as well as Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management. He remained on staff at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC as an anesthesiologist and a member of the acute pain service prior to his time at Nemours. Dr. Lang has taught ultrasound guided regional anesthesia multiple times locally and nationally such as at the Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesia annual meetings and the American Society of Anesthesia annual meetings. He is co-directing the Pennsylvania Anesthesiology Resident Research Conference for 2025. He has authored several regional anesthesia chapters in various textbooks and has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
