Olivia Oropeza, M.S. in Family, Youth and Community Sciences
Olivia Oropeza holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida, along with a Family Life Educator credential. She specializes in prevention education and curriculum development, currently working with the Victim Service Center of Central Florida. Olivia also serves as the Program and Marketing Manager for the SMART Couples relationship education program, where she develops and promotes evidence-based resources to strengthen relationships.
Her work extends into research and writing focused on sexual and gender minoritized (SGM) populations, including a published study on protective factors for SGM youth and ongoing research applying the Vulnerability-Stress-Adaptation model to SGM relationships during COVID-19. Passionate about education and community impact, Olivia has created and facilitated a pilot youth resiliency development program and has received two teaching awards from the Orange County Juvenile Detention Center for her work with at-risk youth.
With a commitment to fostering safer, healthier communities, Olivia blends research, education, and advocacy to empower individuals and relationships through evidence-based programming.
