I received my BSN in 1985 from Lebanon Valley College and Bryn Mawr School of Nursing. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in pediatrics, focusing on CRC, endocrine, renal, sickle cell disease, and cystic fibrosis at a local children’s hospital for 10 years. I then served as a nursing supervisor and manager at Bayada Pediatric in Lancaster County, managing the trach-vent population for another decade.

In 2008, I transitioned to the emergency department at Nemours, where I worked until 2014. During this time, I completed my master’s in Nursing Education and Leadership. I then became the Coordinator of Nursing Orientation, Liaison for Kidshealth, and Educator for ambulatory sites. Over time, I focused on developing and implementing the Graduate Nurse Essential Curriculum and the nurse residency program, which I have coordinated since its inception in 2018. Over the last three years, I attended Wilmington University where I completed my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in December of 2024.
