Dr. Joseph Lopez is a dual fellowship-trained pediatric craniofacial and head and neck surgeon. He serves as the Medical Director of Pediatric Head and Neck Surgery at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando, Florida, where he leads one of the only programs in the nation focused on pediatric head and neck cancer and complex craniofacial pathology. He completed his surgical residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital followed by fellowships in craniofacial surgery at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital and in head and neck oncologic surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr. Lopez’s clinical expertise spans pediatric jaw deformities, craniofacial syndromes, temporomandibular joint disorders, and pediatric surgical oncology. He is the founder of the Children’s Cranio-Oncology Laboratory and leads innovation efforts at his institution focused on surgical planning and 3D technology. His work has been published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and The Cleft Palate–Craniofacial Journal, and he is the lead editor of Computer-assisted Planning in Craniofacial Surgery (Elsevier, 2024).

Nationally recognized for his leadership, Dr. Lopez is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Surgeons, and an advocate for equitable access to pediatric surgical care globally and locally.
