Kiana Hashemi is a medical student at the UCF College of Medicine, starting her third year of study. She has devoted herself to research endeavors aimed at advancing the field of craniofacial medicine. For the past year and a half, Kiana has collaborated closely with Dr. Leto Barone at Nemours Children's Hospital, focusing her efforts on enhancing screening, diagnosis, and treatment methods for patients with craniofacial differences, particularly microtia. Prior to embarking on her medical journey, Kiana completed her undergraduate education at the University of California Irvine, where she earned a degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. During her time there, she cultivated a strong foundation in the sciences, laying the groundwork for her future endeavors in medicine and research.
