Dr. Hansen is a Resident Physician, North Zealand Hospital, Capital Region of Denmark, Denmark and a Researcher, Copenhagen Trial Unit, Centre for Clinical Intervention Research, Copenhagen, Denmark. His research focuses on planning, conducting and reporting large-scale pragmatic clinical trials within newborn intensive care. Clinical trial manager and first author on the SafeBoosC-III trial evaluating the effects of cerebral oximetry in extremely preterm infants (N Engl J Med 2023;388:1501-11). Co-initiator and part of the central trial unit in Copenhagen for the SafeBoosC-IIIv trial evaluating the effects of cerebral oximetry in mechanically ventilated newborns (Trials 2023;24:696). Clinically working in anesthesia and intensive care with an aim towards specialising in pediatric anesthesia and intensive care.
