Danielle Ehret, MD, MPH
Dr. Danielle Ehret is a board-certified Pediatrician and Neonatologist. Her academic work focuses on the synergy of quality improvement and implementation of evidence-based neonatal care practices globally. As Chief Medical Officer and Director of Global Health at Vermont Oxford Network, Dr. Ehret developed and implemented a new database for neonatal units in resource-limited settings, utilized as the platform for the African Neonatal Network, in which serves as co-PI.
Dr. Ehret is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and the Asfaw Yemiru Green and Gold Professor of Global Health at the Robert Larner College of Medicine, University of Vermont (UVM), serves as a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) technical working group to develop the WHO Core Indicators for Quality of Care for Small and Sick Newborns and a member of the Strategic Advisory Group on Newborn Health and Survival for the International Pediatrics Association. Prior to joining Vermont Oxford Network and UVM, Dr. Ehret completed neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship and M.P.H at Harvard, and pediatrics residency and the pediatric global health track at Yale.
