
2023 Substance Abuse Education for Nurses: Controlled Substance Diversion & Compliance
Karen Kist, MSN, RN, CPN, a Diversion Compliance Specialist at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware discusses the impact of drug diversion on healthcare organizations, common characteristics of an associate with substance abuse addiction, and best practices for prevention, detection and management of drug diversion.
This activity provides education on substance abuse which can be utilized to meet part of the license renewal requirements.
