Objectives

  • Learner will verbalize the role of Occupational and Physical Therapists early in the care of patients with moderate to severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
  • Learner will identify strategies for supporting the cognitive and functional recovery of a child with TBI.

Practice Change

  • Learner will initiate clinical conversations with the occupational and physical therapist on the unit regarding appropriate timing for evaluation and intervention of the patient with moderate to severe TBI.
