Material Specific Objectives

  • 1. Familiarize the audience with the ethical principles of autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, justice, and veracity
  • 2. Understand the distinction between legal obligations for care and ethical obligations for care
  • 3. Discuss the necessity of staying up to date on current regulatory guidelines within your practice, as well as local, state, and federal regulations and evidence-based clinical practice guidelines
  • 4. Discuss how this policy can be included in caregiver education and making evidence-based practice recommendations
