Valerie Colantuono is a dually certified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), who received her bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy from Temple University and master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Drexel University. Valerie has experience working with autistic youth in early intervention, healthcare, and applied research settings. Valerie has authored manuscripts in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, as well as led symposium at the International Society of Autism Reasearch, Applied Behavior Analysis International, and Association for Behavior and Cognitive Therapies annual conventions. Valerie's clinical and research areas focus on adaptations and accommodations to support neurodiverse youth in healthcare settings, behavior skills training, and the intersection between medical conditions and self-injurious behavior.
