Dr. Rachel Swerdlin received her BSN from University of Texas at Austin in 2004, MSN degree as a Primary Care PNP from Georgia State University in 2009 and  Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Augusta University in 2021.  She started as a hematology/oncology nurse before coming a nurse practitioner. As an NP, Dr. Swerdlin has worked clinically in anesthesia, thrombosis and most recently, vascular anomalies. Currently she is the Advanced Practice Manager of Education & Quality where she focuses on the mentorship program, professional advancement model, transition to practice, continuing education events, and other professional development while continuing clinical work in Vascular Anomalies.  She presented at the local, national and international levels on her areas of research interests, including vascular anomalies, mentorship and professional development.
