Catherine Haut, DNP, CPNP, CCRN, FAANP, FAAN has been the Director of Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice at Nemours Children's Health in Delaware for the past 6 years. She has 35 years of experience as a pediatric nurse, also certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner working in primary and critical care settings. Cathy spent 10 years in academia, as PNP program director and committee chair for doctoral students. Her role at Nemours includes education and support of nursing and patient care services staff in methods, design and dissemination of research and quality improvement activities. She currently serves as the President of the Foundation Board for the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, where she was also past president. She has presented nationally on pediatric and educational topics, authored many journal articles and was the co-editor for two pediatric textbooks, the most recent published in 2020, called Case Studies in Pediatric Acute Care: Strengthening Clinical Decision Making.
