Dr. Ovalle received her medical degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed her general pediatrics residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). During her fellowship, she received grant funding as an American Board of Medical Specialties Visiting Scholar, pursuing joint research with the ABP. She holds a master’s degree in education from the University of Cincinnati with a special interest in entrustment-based assessment.
