Kathryn Roberts, MSN, CRNP, CCNS, CENP, CCRN-K, FCCM
Kathryn Roberts is the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Nemours Children’s Health – Delaware Valley. Prior to joining Nemours in 2023, she enjoyed a long career at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, working in a number of roles including clinical nurse, clinical nurse specialist, senior director and associate chief nursing officer and at Joe Di Maggio Children’s Hospital as the Director of the Center for Nursing Excellence.
Kathryn is a Past President of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). She served on the AACN board of directors from 2008 to 2013 and the AACN Certification Corporation board in 2010-2011. She has also served on several AACN volunteer committees and work groups.
Kathryn earned both her Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at the Ohio State University. She is a Fellow in the American College of Critical Care, a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Society of Critical Care Medicine, which honored her with its 2007 and 2009 “Presidential Citation.” She is also a recipient of the Expert Alumni Award for Clinical Excellence by the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Caroline Langstadter CNO/VP Award for Excellence in Nursing.
She has lectured extensively on pediatric critical care, resuscitation & leadership topics, has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and authored a number of chapters in pediatric critical care nursing textbooks. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, and last, but not certainly not least, ballroom dancing.
