  • Identify the leading cause of mortality for children in the United States.
  • Describe the long-term effects of trauma outside of the acute injury phase and the lack of resources to address these chronic problems.

Practice Change
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Implement mental health resources to pediatric trauma patients and their families after they have been discharged from the hospital.
