Objectives
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify the prevalence, types, and health risks of smoke exposure among children with cystic fibrosis (CF) and other pulmonary conditions.
- Recognize the characteristics of successful smoking cessation programs for caregivers of children with CF and other lung diseases.
Practice Change
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Integrate smoke exposure screening into routine clinical encounters and provide targeted counseling on prevention and cessation of secondhand and thirdhand smoke exposure.
