Objectives
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe the difference between lobbying and education and know the role of physicians in educating lawmakers.
- Recognize their (or their learners') ability to engage in legislative advocacy.
Practice Changes
As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Increase awareness of potential policy changes affecting healthcare as they are proposed.
- Take small steps to engage in legislative advocacy as needed in response to proposed legislation.
