NCHFL NICU In-Situ Simulation Series 2026

Join us in the NICU for an interprofessional, simulation-based training session to promote effective teamwork and enhance patient safety/outcomes. Participants will practice assigning roles, communicating, and skills during high-acuity, low-occurrence (HALO) events.  All team members are invited to participate in the series. 

Target Audience

This program is intended for all disciplines of learners who primarily work in the Florida NICU: MD, RN, PA, RT, PCT, and APRN. 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Announce roles/responsibilities during high-acuity, low-occurrence events.
• Demonstrate effective teamwork skills (SBAR, Closed-loop communication, Shared Mental Model.)
• Perform critical actions to stabilize the ill infant.
