NCHFL Mock Code Blue Simulation Program 2026
Communication failures are a leading cause of medical errors, especially during cardiac or respiratory arrest. Interprofessional Mock Code Blue simulations provide teams with opportunities to practice effective teamwork, perform initial stabilization steps per AHA guidelines, and identify latent safety threats in a safe learning environment.
Target Audience
Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Nurses, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Patient Care Technicians, Medical Assistants, Paramedics, Social Work, Child Life Specialists, Pastoral Care
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate effective teamwork (closed loop communication, role clarity, shared mental model, etc.)
- Perform initial stabilization steps according to AHA guidelines.
- Identify latent safety threats.
