This simulation-based regularly scheduled series provides the opportunity for multidisciplinary team members to participate in a simulated resuscitation of critically ill pediatric patient.

Objectives:

 

1.  Learners will demonstrate closed loop communication during the simulation.

2.  Learners will identify arrhythmia and follow correct Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) algorithm based on identified arrhythmia (ventricular fibrillation).

3.  Learners will demonstrate use of the Zoll defibrillator and deliver appropriate level of joules based on patient's weight and PALS algorithm.
