Objectives

  • Appreciate the epidemiology of bleeding and clotting on ECMO.
  • Discuss the current evidence regarding hemostatic transfusion.
  • Describe the need for anticoagulation on ECMO and differentiate the various tests used to monitor anticoagulation.
