Objectives
- Identify when to refer to rheumatology.
- Discuss testing relevant to systemic sclerosis.
- Recognize clinical manifestations of systemic sclerosis.
- Manage a patient with systemic sclerosis, including monitoring for disease progression.
- Describe symptoms of systemic sclerosis and be aware of treatment options.
- Define healthcare maintenance for patients with systemic sclerosis.
Practice Change
- Refer patients with Raynaud's for evaluation for underlying systemic inflammatory conditions.
- Consider systemic sclerosis on the differential of a child with Raynaud's phenomenon and other systemic symptoms.
