Have 30 years' experience as an NNP-BC and 38 years' experience in level 3 & 4 NICU. Obtaining my Doctorate Nursing Practice from UCF with plans to graduate August 2024. Spoke at NANN conference 2013 on Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. Faculty position to Associate Degree RN programs teaching Maternal/Child Cohort. Guest speaker for EMS program in Daytona College Paramedic Course on Neonatal Resuscitation and stabilization. NRP Instructor since 1989. Member of FPQC during NAS statewide initiative. Has volunteered at the local high school and spoke at UCF American Medical Women Association in 2018 regarding the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Role. Continue to work with UCF College of Medicine medical student and resident regarding neonatal care. Also provide impromptu education to student RN in the NICU.
Although I have this many years of experience in NICU, I am still young at heart, learning new things, teaching old things and enjoying every beautiful moment that is given.
