  • Recognize presenting symptoms of inflammatory conditions such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.
  • Discuss various testing modalities used in evaluation of autoimmune conditions.

Practice Change: Recognize that children with juvenile arthritis may present with joint stiffness without obvious swelling, pain, or other systemic symptoms.
