  • Describe types and uses of common lines, tubes, and drains placed by surgeons.
  • Discuss common surgical pathology that might be treated with a tube or drain.

Practice Change: Practitioners will feel comfortable performing basic tube and drain management, and recognize when to refer for treatment.
