Session Summary:

Firearm Injuries in the Emergency Department requires a swift triage, immediate interventions, and evidence-based pathways and protocols. Join your ED colleagues in an evidenced based, educational session that addresses Firearm injuries in pediatrics.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this activity, participants will be able to: 

  • review pathophysiology for firearm injuries in children.
  • apply evidence and best practice for children presenting with firearm injuries.
  • apply assessment criteria for relevant for firearm injuries.

Target Audience:

This program is intended for all disciplines of learners who primarily work in the Florida ED: RN, RT, EMT-P, PCT, and APRN.
