Session Summary:

Adult emergencies occasionally present to the Emergency Department. Pediatric caregivers must know when an adult emergency requires a swift triage, immediate interventions, and evidence-based pathways and protocols. Join your ED colleagues in an evidenced based, educational session that addresses Adult Emergencies in the ED.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this activity, participants will be able to: 

  • review pathophysiology for adult emergencies.
  • apply evidence and best practice for those presenting with adult emergencies to the ED.
  • apply assessment criteria for relevant for adult emergencies.

Target Audience:

This program is intended for all disciplines of learners who primarily work in the Florida ED: RN, RT, EMT-P, PCT, and APRN.
