Series Summary:

Join us in the ED for an interprofessional simulation-based training aimed at promoting effective teamwork. Participants will practice assigning roles, communicating, and practicing skills during high-acuity, low-occurrence events. topics most relevant to the trauma patients served.  All team members are invited to participate in the series: MD, RN, EMT-P, RT, PCT, PA and others interested in the session content. 

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Announce their role/responsibility during a high acuity low occurrence event.
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork skills (use SBAR, Closed-loop communication, shared mental model.)
  • Perform critical actions to stabilize the ill child.

Target Audience:

This program is intended for all disciplines of learners who primarily work in the Florida ED: MD, RN, PA, RT, EMT-P, PCT, and APRN.
