Course Title: Recognizing and Reporting Non-Accidental Trauma in Children
Course Description:
This one-hour course provides healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools to identify signs of non-accidental trauma (NAT) in pediatric patients and understand their legal and ethical responsibilities for reporting. Participants will learn to recognize common indicators of abuse, differentiate accidental from non-accidental injuries, and apply best practices for documentation and communication with multidisciplinary teams. The session emphasizes safeguarding children through timely recognition and appropriate intervention.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will be able to
