This session enhances Emergency Department nursing competence by strengthening bedside practice, trauma/treatment room performance, and clinical decision-making. Emphasis is placed on applying evidence-based knowledge to support purposeful, patient-centered nursing care.

The focus of this session will be on patients seen in the Pediatric Emergency Department for Ingestions, both intentional and unintentional. Learners who attend this session will be provided with information on how to respond in the event of a patient presenting with the chief complaint of Ingestion, as well as appropriate interventions for the most common drugs/products ingested in the pediatric population.
