Ali Mirza Onder, MD  -  Pediatric Nephrology

Dr. Onder is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Nemours Children’s Hospital. He is board certified in pediatric nephrology.   He did a pediatric residency at Marmara University, Istanbul Turkey and then at Miami Children’s Hospital, Florida. He received his subspecialty training at University of Miami, Holtz Children’s Hospital, Florida.

 His research interests are developing predictors of acute kidney failure following cardiac surgery and developing interventions for prevention of acute kidney failure during cardio-pulmonary bypass.  He has pulled aminophylline into the cardiac intensive care units and operating rooms in attempt to ameliorate renal injury during cardiac surgery.
