Sarah Fruehauf, J.D.

Sarah Fruehauf defends medical professionals and healthcare providers against medical negligence claims. Sarah has more than 15 years’ experience in litigation including defending tort claims, employment discrimination claims, and Section 1983 (civil rights) claims in State and Federal Court and State constitutional challenges filed in Delaware’s Chancery Court.
Prior to joining the firm, Sarah represented the City of Wilmington as an Assistant City Solicitor and the State of Delaware as a Deputy Attorney General. As a Deputy Attorney General, Sarah prosecuted child support cases which involved conducting daily child support establishment and enforcement hearings in Family Court. After joining the Civil Division of the Delaware Department of Justice, Sarah single-handedly defended all the State of Delaware’s tort claims. Sarah was later promoted to a leadership position and, in addition to handling a variety of litigation matters, she oversaw the caseloads of other Deputy Attorney Generals and provided them with training, guidance and mentorship. Sarah has also handled appeals to the Federal Third Circuit and the Delaware Supreme Court.
Sarah also served as agency counsel to the City of Wilmington and the Delaware Department of Corrections. In this role, Sarah assisted government agencies with internal risk management, litigation support, employment matters, creating and revising policies, training for law enforcement officers and providing legal advice.
