Andrea Simmons BSN, RNC-NIC is a dedicated and experienced NICU nurse with over 2 decades of level IV NICU experience. She graduated with her BSN from university of Delaware in 2004. Andrea elevated her nursing skills through obtaining specialty certification RNC-NIC. 

She has participated in Shared Governance Nursing Practice Council highlighting her commitment to elevating nursing standards. She has also taken on roles as an NRP instructor and preceptor, showcasing her dedication to nurturing future generations of nurses.

In 2021, she was asked to join the EPOP (Erase Post Operative Pain) Taskforce to help with a Quality Improvement Project. She used her creativity and graphic design background to create colorful cards to remind bedside nurses how to help Erase Post Operative Pain. Andrea's passion for providing the highest level of care is evident in every aspect of her work. 

Andrea brings a wealth of NICU experience and innovative thinking she hopes will inspire fellow NICU professionals.
