Pamela Jenkins, DNP, RN, NPD-BC

Dr. Pamela Sue Jenkins is a Clinical Nurse Educator at Nemours Children’s Health with extensive experience in curriculum development and staff mentorship. She specializes in healthcare regulations and project management, leading to successful Practice Transition Accreditation. Pamela focuses on enhancing clinical outcomes through innovative educational strategies and fostering professional growth.
Since 2018, Pamela has coordinated the Graduate Nurse Essential Curriculum (GNEC) and the Nurse Residency Program, streamlining curriculum development and implementation. She has overseen residency progression, facilitated professional growth, and mentored new graduate nurses. Her efforts led to Practice Transition Accreditation in 2021 and 2025
As the Coordinator of Nursing Orientation since 2014, Pamela has guided program development using the ANCC curriculum, facilitated department orientation, and supported the Student Nurse Advancement Program. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she educated staff at the Alternative Care Site and coordinated training on various clinical topics.
Pamela's career includes roles as a Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department, Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, and Visiting Nurse. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wilmington University, a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership & Education, and multiple certifications in nursing professional development and life support.
Pamela has presented at numerous conferences, co-authored articles, and received several awards, including NPDT Preceptor of the Year and nominations for Top Nurse in various categories. Her dedication to nursing education and professional development has made a significant impact on the healthcare community.
