Session Summary:

A traumatic brain injury (TBI) presentation in the Emergency Department requires a swift triage, immediate interventions, and evidence-based pathways and protocols. Join your ED colleagues in an evidenced based, educational session that addresses TBI in a pediatric patient.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this activity, participants will be able to: 

  • review pathophysiology for TBI.
  • apply evidence and best practice for children presenting with a TBI.
  • apply assessment criteria for relevant for TBI.

Target Audience:

This program is intended for all disciplines of learners who primarily work in the Florida ED: RN, RT, EMT-P, PCT, and APRN.
