Objectives

Describe the creation of a program to make liver transplant surgery available for pediatric patients in Jamaica.
Outline the steps involved in building infrastructure and a teaching model to support a collaborative international pediatric liver transplant team.
Discuss current outcomes, ways to improve and to discuss methods to make our program sustainable and have longevity through this collaborative effort.

Conceptualize the establishment of a complex medical/surgical treatment program and the effects this has on patients and the health care system.
Consider donating time to care for patients in the global community, to promote health equity for all children regardless of where they are born in the world.
