NCHFL ED In-Situ Simulation Series 2026

Join us in the ED for an interprofessional, simulation-based training session to promote effective teamwork and enhance patient safety/outcomes. Participants will practice assigning roles, communicating, and skills during high-acuity, low-occurrence (HALO) events. Topics relevant to the trauma patients served.  All team members are invited to participate in the series

Target Audience

This program is intended for all disciplines of learners who primarily work in the Florida ED: MD, MA, RN, PA, RT, EMT-P, PCT, and APRN. 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Announce their roles/responsibilities during high-acuity, low-occurrence events.
  • Demonstrate effective teamwork skills (use SBAR, Closed-loop communication, Shared Mental Model.)
  • Perform critical actions to stabilize the ill child.
