Series Summary:
Managing Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) in critically ill children demands high-quality, safe, and effective care to address hemodynamic instability and renal failure. This regularly scheduled 2.5-hour hands-on training session equips Registered Nurses with practical experience using the latest CRRT equipment.
Participants will engage in guided practice that includes:
- Priming the CRRT system
- Troubleshooting common alarm warnings
- Performing blood return procedures
Each session is tailored to meet the evolving educational needs of learners and is informed by real clinical scenarios from the previous quarter.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:
- demonstrate equipment priming.
- interpret warning alarms and correctly intervene.
- participate in simulated scenarios.
Target Audience:
This course is recommended for critical care RN's who manage patients receiving CRRT and participation in 2 sessions per year ensure competence.
