Melinda serves as Associate General Counsel for Nemours Children’s Health.  In that capacity, Melinda manages medical professional liability and general liability claims and litigation throughout the enterprise.  She also provides support to Risk Management.

Prior to joining Nemours Children’s Health, Melinda was a Principal in the Philadelphia office of Post & Schell, P.C. and was a member of the firm’s Professional Liability Department.  For more than 17 years, Melinda devoted her practice to defending health systems, hospitals, physicians, therapists, nurses, and other medical professionals in catastrophic medical malpractice cases.  In addition, Melinda’s consulting practice included the pre-litigation handling of potential medical malpractice claims and claims reduction through the identification and mitigation of liability risk and the enhancement of patient safety and quality of care.
