Daniel Podberesky, MD, FACR
Daniel J. Podberesky, MD, FACR is a world-renowned pediatric radiologist and serves as the chief medical officer (CMO) of Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida (NCHFL) and Nemours Children’s Health, Specialty and Primary Care Practices in Central Florida. He joined Nemours Children’s in 2014 as Enterprise radiologist-in-chief and in 2019, completed the General Management Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Podberesky is also a professor of radiology at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
Prior to joining Nemours, Dr. Podberesky was associate director of clinical services and chief of the Division of Thoracoabdominal Imaging at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He was also an associate professor of clinical radiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Podberesky is a Veteran, having spent nearly 10 years as an active-duty member of the U.S. Air Force prior to his time in Cincinnati. Four of those years he served as chief of pediatric radiology at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.
Dr. Podberesky is certified by the American Board of Radiology, with a certificate of added qualification in pediatric radiology. His main areas of clinical and research interest are imaging of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and cardiovascular systems, and he has published over 80 peer-reviewed publications and numerous book chapters in these and other areas. He also serves on numerous national and state radiology organization committees, previously served as a Board examiner for the American Board of Radiology, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Society for Pediatric Radiology. He also previously served on the Board of Directors of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
