Brian Currie
Brian has been litigating and trying cases in state and federal courts throughout Florida for over 35 years. While his focus has always primarily been medical negligence, Brian also has considerable experience handling other complex litigation, including catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. He is certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Circuit Court Mediator and is enthusiastically evolving his practice to integrate significant work as a neutral.
In addition to membership in several professional associations for trial lawyers including ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates), where he recently completed a term as the Jacksonville Chapter President, Brian also serves on the Board of the Florida Bar Foundation. He has also served on the Board of Governors of the Jacksonville Bar Association and as the Chairman of a Fourth Judicial Court Grievance Committee. He has consistently received the highest peer review ratings for ethical standards and legal ability, holding an "AV" rating with Martindale-Hubbell, and is perennially included in the Florida Super Lawyer listing.
Brian is proud to be an Eagle Scout and his past community involvement includes service as President of Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville (Habijax), a mentor in a juvenile justice program of the State Attorney’s Office, as a high school mock trial coach and as an appointee to the Duval County School Board’s Standing Committee on Desegregation.
