Kristen Kennedy, Esq., MSW, LICSW, CPHRM, FASHRM is the Deputy General Counsel, Litigation and Risk at Nemours where she leads and manages professional litigation and risk for the enterprise. Kristen has a background as a System Vice President leading risk, compliance, patient relations and served as the Chief Privacy Officer. Kristen has experience as a defense attorney where she represented hospitals, providers and health care professionals involved in litigation, board matters, guardianship matters, and other general health law issues and has also worked for a global insurer. In addition, Kristen began her career as a clinical social worker as well as in child life working in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. She routinely presents nationally and regionally on legal and risk management topics impacting providers.
