Kathryn “Katy” Appenzeller, BSN, RN, NE-BC, has been part of Nemours Children’s Health since 2017. She currently serves as Nurse Manager for the satellite clinics, Float Team, and Ophthalmology—providing daily onsite leadership across Jacksonville South, Fleming Island, and Nocatee—while also serving as the Director of Nurse Well‑Being for North Florida.

Katy began her Nemours career as a clinical nurse in Otolaryngology (ENT) before moving into leadership in 2023. She brings a strong foundation in pediatric nursing, extensive experience supporting medically complex patient populations, and a record of progressive leadership. Her professional passions center on advancing quality, safety, and operational efficiency while fostering patient- and family‑centered community care. She is equally committed to associate engagement and well‑being across the locations she supports.
