NCHFL IPE-mergency Simulation Program 2026

The IPE-mergency Simulation Program enhances patient safety and outcomes by preparing interprofessional critical care teams to respond effectively during HALO events. Through realistic scenarios, participants demonstrate teamwork, clear communication, and critical actions to stabilize critically ill children.

Target Audience

This series is recommended for MDs, RNs, EMT-P, and RRTs that provide care to critically ill children in the Emergency Department and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate effective teamwork (closed loop communication, role clarity, shared mental model, etc)
  • Perform priority critical action according to best practices (AHA guidelines and NCH Policies & Procedures)
